Girly Childhood Toys.
From kindergarten through maybe 2nd grade, I remember when invited to a birthday party, you should always ask, "Is it a dress party?" It would be quite embarrassing if you were the only one who didn't show up in a dress. I remember wanting blonde hair and blue eyes because my 2 best friends, Christie and Erin did.
I also wanted all the same toys. (Except Barbie dolls. I only wanted Jem.)
Christie used to really be into Lady Lovely Locks. There were books and maybe a cartoon? And of course, dolls.
I got a doll one year for my birthday. It came with these animal clips with long colorful tails that you could either clip in the doll's hair, or your own.
Haha I think I still have some of them.
I also wanted some scented doll one year, which I got, and it smelled for years long after it should've stopped. It smelled like some kind of berry pastry. I wonder if it was a cupcake doll? I think I had one of those too.OH! And then there's Zoobilee Zoo.

I used to want to be Whazzat. She was cool and pink, and liked music.

26?
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!
When I was in 3rd grade, I had a sleep-over birthday party.
Since my birthday is in October, my parties always had a Halloween theme.
3rd grade was a big year for "Bloody Mary" - you know, where you look in the mirror and say "Bloody Mary" 3 times, and she appears?
Ha Yeah.
So anyway, the plan for my sleep-over was that my Aunt Niecy was going to dress up like a ghost and come over to the house to scare everyone.
My friends and I were all in the kitchen either eating or making crafts or something.
Niecy called first and my mom answered the phone, and made sure we heard her telling whoever was on the other end that there was no René here and no so-and-so here (she kept using different girls' names that were at the party).
Then Niecy knocked at the kitchen door, and my mom looked out the window...
She said she didn't know who it was, so we should all turn off the lights and be quiet.
There was then a knock at the front door.
My mom opened the door and said something similar to what she'd said on the phone.
At this point, everyone was hiding under the kitchen table in the dark. LOL
Niecy, in her raggedy robe and white make-up, walked slowly into the kitchen and started grabbing under the table. I actually think she had a fake cicle, which made it even more scary.
She grabbed me and started dragging me away.
Everyone was screaming.
I don't really remember what happened, but someone put the lights back on and our plan was revealed. hahaha
My cousin Pat was there, dressed up with Niecy too.
I feel like maybe some broken glass or fake blood or something was involved.
I don't really remember. I'll try to get more details.
Earlier in the night, some of the girls had been saying "Bloody Mary" in the mirror in the downstairs bathroom, and a rumor started that she would show up during the night.
To all of the girls at my birthday party, Niecy made that rumor come to life (even though she had no idea who Bloody Mary even was.)
That year I lost my voice from screaming.

Operation Make Me Over.

I love this jewelry.
I found Broken Fab on another blog that I was randomly reading last week.
I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.
Not only as artistic inspiration, but as inspiration for my everyday wardrobe.
I think I have a bead loom in my closet at my mom's house.
I will search for it next time I'm there.
PS My birthday is also coming up in a few weeks.

<3 (My Friend)
It's good to know you're appreciated.

"Iiiiii'm 50!"

This wasn't for me, but I like to pretend it was.

My favorite part of this photo are the white loafers in the lower left corner.

Penny Candy!!!!!!

I asked them to sign my jacket and the guy told me only if I let him throw watermelon at me. I said yes. He definitely threw watermelon at me. And then at this bmw.

Not only was Matt visiting from Utah, but we ran into Liz and Laura at Max Fish! Liz and Laura are my friends from Moore. They live in LA and they're in NY for a trade show. I was so excited to see them! :)
