Ticking Time Bomb.
I get worked up when I see fashion designs/art pieces that I know I can out-do.
It just hit me today that it's my own fault for not out-doing them.

Graffiti for Old Ladies.
I somehow stumbled upon a blog called "Yarnbombing" last week.
At first I thought it was kinda stupid - knitting things and then sticking them places around your city or neighborhood. (Referred to as "tagging" on each site I've seen about "knit graffiti". I think a much better term would be installation, but whatever.)
I still think it's kinda stupid, but I saw this today:
Both were done by an artist whose name is, I believe, Pixieknit. That's the name of her blog, anyway.
These two pieces are great - and although I think I read that they were commissioned, they're still amazing.
"I'm very busy."
Posts have gotten backed up.
More coming this week.
Also, this summer will be mostly photos. Life is better understood that way.

You Obviously Haven't Tried the RC Yet.
I want this. It would be my Summer 2010 uniform. I can do without the hideous sandals, but the overalls are something I have to have.
Guess who's going fabric shopping this weekend?

The Life of Matt Handy.
When I went to Utah to visit Matt in March, not only was it the greatest escape from NY, but it was extremely inspiring as well.
Not to mention I arrived for the beginning of the taping of a documentary featuring a week in the life of Matt Handy. A week is not enough. Trust me.
Back to what I was saying...
Matt has boxes upon boxes of zines he acquired by trading his latest zine, "New York City. Photographs from the Empire."
Artists have also traded stickers, posters, and whatever else they've got on hand.
It makes me feel like I'm not doing enough with my life.
Anyway, earlier this month, a blog post about Matt's zine made me smile.
