This morning I did something that's probably the hardest thing I've had to do so far in my 1 month shy of 25 years on this earth. I'm surprised at how brave I was...I mean, yeah I cried - but I got through it...and got everything off my chest.
Last night there was a montage of memories playing in my head...from "I lost my jacket" and standing out front of the restaurant drunk confessing things I shouldn't have been confessing, and listening to Plastic Little in my room, and "you're amazing - I swear" - to cheeseburgers and margaritas at Pianos and shiny purple coats and Indiana Jones & getting caught in the rain at Union Square - it was horrible. Horrible because I don't want to let go of those memories...or have to supress them. They're my favorite memories to date - and I don't know if anything can top them. It makes me really sad to think I won't be making anymore memories like them to add...
And, to make things worse - that song is stuck in my head. THE song. The one that was supposed to explain everything.
I'm wondering now if this was the reason I was feeling uneasy the past few days?
I think it's ironic that I was having a conversation with Binnie about the situation a few months ago...and she told me I had to do what's best for me because she's been in my shoes and it's not a "happy ending".
Life is funny...
Now I'm left feeling like crap - but in a different way than I was before...
I'm really sad....I feel like my heart is being held together with tape right now.
Today's going to be rough.

Somebody's Gonna Get Skin Cancer.
This lady got on the train today on my way to work and passed by me to share the same pole I was holding onto. It wasn't until I saw her face that I realized she was white. I honestly thought she was Indian - that's how dark she was. I mean, I wish I was tan like that as much as the next guy - but seriously....seriously?
As for me, my salad's bland because they guy didn't put enough vinegar on it...and I know something's definitely up because I didn't even want to sit outside and eat my lunch. And I feel like I want to be alone....and I never want to be alone.
You know those interactions you have with people and they're just light and cool and you don't know too much about each other nor do you care? And you're just cool. But then you learn way too much about each other and you actually start to rely on things that they say and plans they intend to make...basically you start to care that you know this person. Don't you wish you could just go back to when things were a mystery and you didn't know anything and you had "hand"? haha (You know that Seinfeld episode where George loses "hand" because he thinks his girlfriend is going to break up with him?)
Just thinking, that's all.
I really want some Peanut Chews. I've been a total fat kid lately.

The End Is Near?
Something's not right. It hasn't been since I came home yesterday afternoon. Everything feels a little "off". Even just waiting for the train it felt like something was wrong but I don't know what. It's like when you fold your hands, but you put the wrong hand on top. It just feels weird. You know what I mean?

The Dumbass Show.
It's Official.

Starting today, that Reset button that I mentioned before has been officially pressed.
I'm only dealing with genuine, sincere people. No more flakey a-holes or empty promises or people who just like to hear themselves talk.
I'm not putting up with anything I know I shouldn't and I'm definitely not ignoring my gut feelings.
There's a certain level of comfort that I need and I'm not exactly feeling it in a few situations I've found myself in.
I'm going to do some "Fall Cleaning" and get rid of things that belong to others and get things back that I've lent out.
I'm detoxing from all of the bad things in my life. People especially.
So, having said that, I've been officially reset!
Tempin' It Up.
A few weeks ago I was in Philly for Beth's wedding dress fitting. I got a phone call from a number I didn't know. The person on the other end asked if I knew who they were - and I didn't. They told me we met 7 years ago. I rudely repeated, "7 years ago?" And they said, "Yeah, down the shore." I then realized that it was Rich. I met him when I was down the shore for senior week when I graduated from high school. He was from south Philly and I hung out with him and his friends basically the whole week. They were cool kids.
We had hung out for a while after that - and into my 1st year of college and then we just lost touch for whatever reason.
Anyway, he had found a letter I sent him with some pictures in it and I guess I had left the number to my mom's house in it. He had called my mom and my mom gave him my cell phone number. Freaking crazy.
We talk a lot just about whatever.
He said one of the nicest things last weekend - he said that all these years he's compared every girl he's met to me. He said that I'm a nice girl and that's hard to find.
Wow. Everyone's full of compliments lately.
So we hung out last weekend. Not as a date or anything, just to hang out. It was cool. We met up with some of his friends in NE Philly and had some drinks and we split a chicken cheese steak with this really good hot sauce.

After Rich and I hung out I went up to my sister's house and we hung out with her roommate and her friend. We got some food and acted stupid. It was nice to just hang out with my sister.
We went to meet with my mom and hung out with her for a little bit. I ended up sleeping at my mom's and ate like it was my job.

This lady was leaning on that cucumber like a cane before I took the picture.

I came home early the next day (Labor Day) and everything was weird. I got the same turkey and cheese sandwich I always get from the bodega and thinking about it right now is making me hungry even though I already ate tonight.

TO BE UPDATED LATER.

My Crazy Adventures.
Brain and I always find ourselves in dangerous situations. We always manage to get out - no thanks to Uncle Gadget.
I really got that leprechaun good.
I really got that leprechaun good.
Don't Put it Out With Your Boots, Ted.
This is a mini tribute to all the crap found at my front door. I'm not even going to show what the tomato plant looks like now. It's completely taken over the steps.
I came home to this one day...along with a crapload of other weird trash in the front of the house. It's so embarrassing. I'm glad I don't have people over very often. At the same time, this is hilarious.

This was also by the trash can. Why would you throw that away?

This is Team Douchebag.

I came home from work the next day, and the doll was still there...except on top of these concrete chunks....kinda obscene. And again, weird.

Haha I was leaving my apartment and this magazine was on the step. It was addressed to my downstairs neighbor. I'll tell you one thing - he's no body-builder.

I just liked this cool car. I really like cars.

I had to get a picture of this lady's awesome cardi/cami combo. It's amazing.

I Want My $2.
This video cuts off the last part right before a really funny line, but whatever - you get the point. I want to be this kid for Halloween. He's awesome.
