Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!
When I was in 3rd grade, I had a sleep-over birthday party.
Since my birthday is in October, my parties always had a Halloween theme.
3rd grade was a big year for "Bloody Mary" - you know, where you look in the mirror and say "Bloody Mary" 3 times, and she appears?
Ha Yeah.
So anyway, the plan for my sleep-over was that my Aunt Niecy was going to dress up like a ghost and come over to the house to scare everyone.
My friends and I were all in the kitchen either eating or making crafts or something.
Niecy called first and my mom answered the phone, and made sure we heard her telling whoever was on the other end that there was no René here and no so-and-so here (she kept using different girls' names that were at the party).
Then Niecy knocked at the kitchen door, and my mom looked out the window...
She said she didn't know who it was, so we should all turn off the lights and be quiet.
There was then a knock at the front door.
My mom opened the door and said something similar to what she'd said on the phone.
At this point, everyone was hiding under the kitchen table in the dark. LOL
Niecy, in her raggedy robe and white make-up, walked slowly into the kitchen and started grabbing under the table. I actually think she had a fake cicle, which made it even more scary.
She grabbed me and started dragging me away.
Everyone was screaming.
I don't really remember what happened, but someone put the lights back on and our plan was revealed. hahaha
My cousin Pat was there, dressed up with Niecy too.
I feel like maybe some broken glass or fake blood or something was involved.
I don't really remember. I'll try to get more details.
Earlier in the night, some of the girls had been saying "Bloody Mary" in the mirror in the downstairs bathroom, and a rumor started that she would show up during the night.
To all of the girls at my birthday party, Niecy made that rumor come to life (even though she had no idea who Bloody Mary even was.)
That year I lost my voice from screaming.
