Girly Childhood Toys.

From kindergarten through maybe 2nd grade, I remember when invited to a birthday party, you should always ask, "Is it a dress party?" It would be quite embarrassing if you were the only one who didn't show up in a dress.

I remember wanting blonde hair and blue eyes because my 2 best friends, Christie and Erin did.
I also wanted all the same toys. (Except Barbie dolls. I only wanted Jem.)
Christie used to really be into Lady Lovely Locks. There were books and maybe a cartoon? And of course, dolls.
I got a doll one year for my birthday. It came with these animal clips with long colorful tails that you could either clip in the doll's hair, or your own.
Haha I think I still have some of them.

I also wanted some scented doll one year, which I got, and it smelled for years long after it should've stopped. It smelled like some kind of berry pastry. I wonder if it was a cupcake doll? I think I had one of those too.

OH! And then there's Zoobilee Zoo.

I used to want to be Whazzat. She was cool and pink, and liked music.

Pony Party.

Apparently a horse and pony aren't the same thing.
I don't know why it took me 26 years to learn this, but it's true.
Horses are beautiful and majestic.
(See below)

A pony is more like this:

Side note - the accuracy of the My Little Pony dolls is amazing.

Candyman.

Apparently there's going to be a Palm Beach Sugar Daddy Ken doll.
At least he comes with that little dog.

The Future.

I found these cars when I was looking for cheap toy monster trucks.
They're so awesome.
They're $34.99 though - so my kid wouldn't be getting one.

A Jem Girl in a Barbie World.

All of my friends had Barbie dolls.
I always had Jem dolls.
I could care less about Barbie.
I think my first Barbie doll was given to me as a gift for my birthday by one of my friends.
My Jem dolls were way better.
I had everything:
The stage
The car
The life-sized microphone
The life-sized earrings and necklace
A doll case that looked like a speaker when it was closed up - and that also doubled as "back stage" or something
I only had 3 dolls though. I had Jem/Jerrica, Shana, and Pizzaz.
I have to get them out of my mom's basement before she throws them away.

Lite Brites!!!

My mom threw away my Lite Brite set when I was little because I got the pieces all over the house.
I used to love that thing.
I think I want this Lite Brite Cube for my apartment. It's only $25!

I think I'm going to get this for myself.
I don't really have a place to put it, but I'll find one.
